Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is fundamental to our business. By taking responsibility for the effect our work has on our clients, people, suppliers and partners, investors and communities as well as the environment, we seek to improve the quality of life for society at large.

We are committed to upholding sustainability as a guiding principle and implementing it through all our operations and have set the following targets for 2009/10:

• To establish and implement an effective and consistent monitoring and targeting process for capturing data from each region on waste, energy and water consumption. We will benchmark our results against our peers in our 2011 report.
• To establish system for capturing employee travel data so that we can set reduction targets for air travel in 2010.
• To actively participate in the following charities: Engineers for Overseas Development, Engineers Against Poverty, Ingenieure Ohne Grenzen, WaterAid and Red Crescent - contributing both funding and expertise to assist their work.
• To give 4, 000 hours of employee time for local charity work.
